Redesigning a trading platform so users can compare markets and act without losing context.
The problem
Taomarketcap covers more than 100 subnetworks, each with its own token, with two unit systems in the same rows and prices and block numbers changing live. People came to it with questions: what is worth a look, what changed, what is risky and what to do next. And the same screens that read the chain also move real money on a network where a transaction cannot be undone, so the screens had to stay clear without hiding any depth.
What I decided
Over two years with the founder and 3 to 5 engineers, the main table became the place where decisions start. Filters, columns and bookmarks re-cut the same set, so a new question gets a new view of the same table. Every screen opens simple and shows more on demand. Research sits next to action, so someone can review an asset and trade it without leaving the screen they started from. Traders, researchers, infrastructure operators, developers evaluating the API and newcomers all work from that same table.
Before / after
The subnet table
The subnet table went from a data listing to the place decisions start. A vitals strip with the live block number anchors the market, so every reading on the page is dated to the same block. Filters, columns and bookmarks re-cut the set, and price, supply and 7 day movement read inline in every row.
Validator pages
The validator page went from a flat stats card to a workspace. APY is charted across every subnet, the root and alpha stake split is explicit, and stake per subnet expands down to single hotkeys.

A wallet that reads like a portfolio
The wallet slides over whatever you are reading. One net-worth figure leads, with Swap, Send and Stake under it, and one list folds liquid, staked and per-network holdings together.
- Staked rows show their yield inline, so you can see where a return comes from.
One transaction box for every direction
Swapping, sending and staking share one box: an amount field with HALF and MAX presets and a live balance, one direction flip, and one primary button that says Enter the amount until there is something to act on. HALF and MAX reserve the fee, so the amount you pick is an amount you can actually send.
- Every flow that moves funds starts from the same wallet connection step and shows the amount and fee before you confirm.
- The confirmation ends on a receipt with a link to the on-chain transaction.
Account delegation you can read
On this chain one account can sign for another with limited powers, which is useful and easy to get wrong. The creation flow names each role by what it does and shows the powers being granted and the deposit required, all before the confirm button.
- A permission picker grants staking rights without handing over the whole account.
Providing liquidity step by step
The sidebar walks one path: set the range on the chart, deposit, provide, then watch the position. Value, fees and yield stay on screen the whole way, and you can get an alert when the position goes out of range.

One brand across the developer platform
The paid layer is three sites: a developer portal with plans and pricing, an API reference and chain documentation. I brought all three into one TMC lockup system so they read as one product. This layer is the base of the paid subscription.

What shipped
Over two years a raw protocol explorer became one product with research, trading, wallets, staking, delegated permissions and a developer API. The platform reached 40k monthly visitors in July 2026, according to team analytics, and the API became a paid subscription. Those figures belong to the product and the whole team behind it.
